Bmi regional is creating a new hub at Birmingham airport, launching three new European routes from the UK’s second city.
The new routes to Graz, Austria, Nuremburg, Germany and Gothenburg, Sweden will start in early 2017.
The Graz flight will commence on February 27, initially with a twice-weekly service on Mondays and Fridays, ideal for those travelling for business.
Fares will start from £99 one way.
The Nuremberg and Gothenburg routes will launch on May 8, with six return flights per week.
Fares start from £79 one way and £89 one way respectively.
Each destination is also a second city in its own right, with strong business opportunities and links for the Midlands region.
Bmi chief commercial officer Jochen Schnadt said: “The Midlands is a powerhouse for business and industry in the UK. Having frequent connections to other European business centres is therefore critical for the region.
“Given this strong business affinity, we believe our new Graz, Nuremberg and Gothenburg routes will prove very popular with business customers.”
